I am from India...Here are some details.
The travels in India will help a lot in these matters.
My parents got from ICICI. I also heard that Reliance is good to.
The insurance mainly covers the hospital charges in case of hospital admission. Not that great for office visits.
If the age is more than 60, the insurance is almost doubled..

Hi
Your application and your wife applications are different though she applied as dependent on your application both I-485 applications are treated separately.
So you will be on H1 though your wife uses her EAD. My friend is also in the same status and he is waiting for an answer from an attorney. I would update here once he hear back from attorney.
Thanks

We should not mention who we are speaking to in a public forum. This will trigger all kinds of opposition flooding to whomever you mention, which will work against us
Join your state chapter, they will be able to help coordinate and get contacts and visits etc.
I agree - It's not a good thing. Moreover, it might push the wrong buttons if person from one state sends letters/faxes to the congressman from other state. I would not be surprised if the congressman would not care since you are not from his district. You can also check if you can send the letters/faxes to your state senators...

In certain cases, they do expedite things; specially in cases of family emergencies excluding marriages.

I just want to start a thread for folks whose primary applicant is approved but derivative is pending. My case was approved on July 8th, but my wife's case is still pending. Here is the complete list of steps that we have taken.
1) Created an SR on 07/09/2010 (No response yet)
2) InfoPass appointment on (07/16/2010); Reveals that case is pre-adjudicated.
3) Submitted form DHS-7001 (07/19/2010)
Please share your comments, thoughts and experiences on how you dealt with this situation.

In Ohio, they issue a DL for one year from the application for H1B extension if the H1B has not been approved yet. It might be the same case in NC as well - it might be worth checking.

Hello,
I am Dec 02/EB3/India candidate. Currently using EAD/AP to work. No H1b visa.
My current project SAP PI implementation requires me to travel to London / Ontario, Canada, on a weekly basis. This is going to be for few months at least. Employer is in US, major work place will be US, still working with original employer who filed GC; even residence is in US.
Has anyone travel more than once on AP?
Is that ok or there are risk factors?
Has anyone traveled on AP using car by road? How is experience compared to enter via airport?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can reply to the RFE exactly as you stated. That your wife and child are abroad and will be applying for visas at the U.S. post to accompany you, therefore they do not have A numbers or receipt numbers.
You must file I-824s for them if you have not already done so.

The court concluded that the Memorandum does not constitute final agency action subject to judicial review and the notice and comment requirements under the APA. The court concluded that the Memorandum establishes interpretive guidelines for the implementation of 8 C.F.R. 214.2 and does not bind USCIS adjudicators in their determination of plaintiff’s H-1B visa applications.
Does this mean this memo is not legally binding to USCIS adjudicators ?
Is it a victory in disguise for plaintiffs ?
If I remember correctly, the lawsuit was that USCIS did not follow proper rule making procedures.
Court says rule making need not be followed as this memo is not legally binding.

The H-2B program is critically important for many businesses that have difficulty finding U.S. workers to fill temporary jobs. This is particularly true in seasonal industries. Comments from H-2B employers attest to the need for foreign workers in physically demanding seasonal jobs, often in remote locations, that many U.S. workers will not take.
The H-2B nonimmigrant visa (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137785.html) program permits employers to hire foreign workers to come to the U.S. and perform temporary nonagricultural work, which may be one-time, seasonal, peak load or intermittent and there are no qualified and willing U.S. workers available for the job. Note that this visa is not available for "temporary" agencies or other work placement agencies.
In order to learn more about employers perceptions of the H-2B program, ImmigrationWorks USA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce conducted a survey: five short questions distributed among H-2B employers in July and August 2010. The survey asked how many H-2B workers the company had hired in the last three years and what types of jobs those workers held. It included two open-ended questions about the benefits of using the program and asked what if any problems employers had experienced.
Another open-ended question asked what employers would do if they were not able to hire H-2B workers. Participation was voluntary, and results could be submitted via email, fax or the internet. A total of 367 employers responded. The majority of H-2B employers who responded to the survey noted that temporary foreign workers are reliable and hard-working. Many also praised these workers productivity: a benefit that offsets the cost of bringing them into the United States. Respondents appreciated that H-2B workers were willing to work seasonal jobs and then return home when the season ended.
Important benefit of the program is that it offers companies a way to hire foreign workers when U.S. labor markets tighten. The program increases labor market flexibility by allowing businesses to bring in foreign workers when U.S. workers move up to better, higher-paying jobs during economic expansions.

I am a Spanish citizen and I am currently holding an F-1 visa with post-completion OPT that expires in 06/2011. I am working at a company in VA and I got married in Michigan to a US citizen in 09/2010.
My company is offering to sponsor me for an H1B visa in order to continue working here after 06/2011. I am also preparing all the paperwork to apply for a change of status to a green card through marriage (I-130/I-485). Can I submit the green card application at the same time as my company submits the H1B request?
I also have to travel outside the US on 05.2011. I know I would have to ask for advance parole in case of green card application or obtain an H1B visa stamp outside the US if the H1 has been processed. What is the best way to be able to travel abroad in these circumstances?

Cool picture.
What type of phone do you have that has that kind of image quality?
Exif data shows:
HTC - MDA_compact_IV .. which is the Tmobile name for the HTC Diamond :P.
It has a 3.2 megapixel camera. I do however believe that it doesnt really matter what camera you use, if you cant make good pictures with a pocket camera then a $2000 camera wont help either ;)
