I have an MS degree, so IF the SKIL is passed, my PD will become current. However, I guess the earliest time for SKIL to be passed is Oct, if it is ever passed.

We can always convey that the amounts can and will be adjusted based on need. But let's set a target. Disclose the goals. Not the exact dates and times and the kinds of meetings being attended nor do we need a detailed daily report of how the money will be spent. That is micro reporting and I think we all trust IV enough to know that the money is being well spent. All targeted funding drives help us do is plan better and focus better.
Let's be vigilant and worry about the things we can worry about.

EB3 I is going to have a long wait. I had applied for Canadian green card and had received it. At present i have EAD and AP. Is it worthwhile to go into consular processing and work in canada or apply for a blue card or think about Australia. If this sounds okay how should i proceed.

Exactly.. You apply now.. no way it is going to get approved in time.. substitution approval takes anywhere between 4 months to 1 yr. Most common I heard is 6 months. you try to slide just under the door.. they aren't going to be happy abt it..

One step closer.
With last year crisscrossing, EB2 India most apps are cleared upto september 2004. We should not have too many in 2004 except substitution cases.
Hope it will step into 2005 in next 4 months....
I might be wrong, but I think EB2 India came only uptil April 2004.

Theres an enforcement only bill that increases the h1 cap to 130000. Ofcourse enforcement doesnt include making sure the EB quota is used every year - not that enforcement.

I have a labor certification approved in my name. Does all this mean that if this new law gets approved and I have not yet filed for I-140 I lose my labor and the possibility to file for I-140? Or would I still be able to file ? I am confused.:confused:

My wife and I had our interviews on Jan 3rd. Consulate handed the passport to VFS on Jan 4th. DHL (i think) delivered at home on Jan 5th.

Alot of members have fled to immigrationvoice with a hope to get their GC very quickly. Today the organization have received a final blow in its coffin when the House Judiciary Committee did'nt even look at HR5882.
Members are always been targeted for contributions for lobbyists, free lunch etc. and yet nothing concrete have been acheived by IV. I have never seen this website(immigrationportal) ask members for a single dollar yet have been just as helpful or even more helpful than IV and also this website is flame free you can express your self without fear. At IV to disagree you are a moron..(GIVING RED DOTS, ACTING LIKE A GROUP OF KINDERGARDEN KIDS, NO WONDER THE HORSE BILL WAS MARKUP AND HR5882 ISN'T)

This would prevent individual uncoordinated actions that might impede their on going moves... otherwise this forum would just be a mere venting platform and the message would not get out there.
