The only housing market which doesn't show any sign of correction is Mumbai, as the builders have more Dubai, 'Bhai' kind of money. Everywhere else properties have already fallen 20-30%. In gurgaon & NOIDA they are down 40% from previous year...
Even in Mumbai, prices are coming down (~10-20% from last year) however they are so high right now it has to crash more than 50% to come in "NRI" range. I feel sorry for the common middle class of Mumbai... They have no options but to go beyond Borivali and Thane even after crash :( ....

Yes, ICICI is not a good bank, if you pay attention on the things they do you will surely realize this fact. They cheat a lot on all Loans and all kinds of deposits and transfers. I hate this bank. SBI is the best for evrything.

Most EB3 applicants are NOT underpaid or under qualified. Infact they are OVERQUALIFIED as they should have been EB2 first place. JOB requirements and employers force them to be EB3, not their qualifications

I realize that there is no point in telling you guys anything. When you don't have an open mind, you can not accept the facts. It's like banging your heads against steel wall. When you are not even ready to diagnose the disease, there is little hope you will be able to cure it. Denial is a beautiful thing.

Show some Courage Dude. Take up a role in your state chapter, go meet the lawmaker, Educate them on the difficulties we face, write to the reporters & highlight our issues. Contact the Core and ask for responsibilities. I am sure the Core would be happy to delegate some of the responsibilities to you.
Why dont you do all of this, before criticizing everyone who is involved in the noble effort?

When GCSOON-Ihope becomes GC-IgotIt!
Guys, guess what I am holding in my hand? Yes, that bit of plastic, object of our fantasies �.and nightmares. After filing Writ of Mandamus on November 1st, things went amazingly quickly and smoothly: on December 1st, the US attorney gave confirmation that the case has been approved and I received the card in the mail on 12/07.
What did I feel then? Really indescribable�Happy? It goes way beyond that.
I feel more relieved than anything else, like if I had a ton of lead off my shoulders�
May my story inspire, give hope and faith to all of you guys who are so depressed at the moment because of what happened, or did not happen should I say, in that shameful Congress.
As you will see, I had my head in a brick wall more than once. More than once, I was devastated and, still, I never gave up and made it through.
So, please, enjoy the holidays: as long as there is life, there is hope.
I know something about it:
Come here in 1993 as a student on F1 visa. Graduate and got Work Permit (OPT).
Find dream job in dream company. Hired directly by CEO himself.
Company loves me and applies right away for H1 and then Labor Cert.
Life is beautiful. The start of the American Dream. Not for long.

Picks me for his first failure: screws up completely.
H1 denied. Labor Cert denied. Company gets mad: attorney is fired.
OPT runs out: company still loves me but�I am now out of status and�fired too.

I am broke. Can�t even go back �home� and anyway I don�t want to.
Not with just my tail between my legs for the second time.

Decide to swallow my pride and endure the humiliation until I can find new employer willing to sponsor new H1 and pay all fees. I just can�t afford anything as I am hardly surviving.

12/01: confirmation from the Assistant US Attorney that my case has been approved.
12/04 LUD: �Your case has been approved�.
(So, they notify you that the card has been ordered�before notifying that the case has been approved�).
12/05: receive Approval Notice in the mail and my attorney indicates that she will then dismiss the Mandamus complaint.
12/07: receive the Magic Card in the mail (regular mail, even not certified, unbelievable�).

The only difference this time is, it has come in the form of a memo. It is in fact a blessing in disguise. AILA has some reference document against which they can fight in court and get it overturned permanently.
I disagree with you. Last many H1-B petitions have denied on these grounds. Memo just made the current interpretation as public knowledge. Read the denial cases by and you will see what I am taking about.
It seems that AILA is making noise since this memo is going to hurt the business of their members.
....The law does not require any such letters by end-user clients for the issuance of the H1B visas to the visa applicants.
Technically the lawyer is correct. However, it is very difficult to show actual duties and job period for the beneficiary (H-1B worker) without the end-user client letter.

The director declined to find that the proffered position was a specialty occupation because, as an employment contractor, the petitioner was in the business of contracting its employees to client sites and the record did not contain any evidence regarding the type of duties that the beneficiary would perform for these various clients. Bashing the system and correcting the imbalances are correct. But some people in this forum are targetting individual persons(some times Senators) and doing personal attacks some times bad words also(I can see atleast 100 postings like that). No one realise the fact that same right we were not able to get in our own country. Can anyone talk to MLA or MP in India by phone when they want if any issue?. So we need to appreciate that we got extra freedom than our own country. If we want to correct problems in the system we have to fight with patient with point in mind that we are aliens compared to those who came here 20 years or 100 years before us.

First they will process the applications which are cleared FP based on PD and receipt date. Always risk is there when filing without marriage. You are safe till USCIS starts process your application. When they take your application for processing then you cannot add your spouse. Also if CIR decides to process backlogs faster then also you will be in problem. Best option is if your marriage is already fixed do it within 3 months and file GC before PD is backdated. You need not file July first. You can wait till Jul15 to see next VB and decide.

It is sad to say the thread started by one of the senior member on similar lines was closed abruptly for discussion.I know IV's main intension is to help on immigration front but it won't be too different to help other immigrant brothers trapped in situations like this.

I looked at the pdf briefly but did not completely understand what changes are proposed for H1b in the bill.
Below are some per my understanding. And also below are questions.
1) Now it looks like H1b requires PERM type recruitment. Is it only for new H1bs or also for extensions & Transfers?? Most of us are already in our 7th/8th year extensions and some others are in 9th & 10th years. It will impact further extensions or transfers and will jeopardize our GC process.
2) These changes would unnecessarily scare away genuine employers as it is like a mini- GC perm process. They may settle for an unqualified or less qualified citizen instead of hiring a highly qualified H1b suitable for the job.

In any case, why should someone be SO disturbed if some lawyer says "I will try to prove your degree equivalency for trying to get into EB2"?

My understanding of SKILL for US MS is that it will not be counted against the cap. I don't see it saying that PD does not matter for US MS. What am I missing? Thanks.
if you are not counted against cap, that is equivalent to visa available = PD current.
