Funny how much the background makes it look better ;)
Hey that is not fair, you shouldn't be able to change the background because you will earn votes for it and not for the iPod design... it interfeers.

I dont think companies are really geared to file for 140 within 45 days of labor approval.
Most of the companies take 4-6 weeks to just send the documents the lawyers request for filing 140. Then the lawyers, most likely forget something and request more documents. It takes another 2 weeks for company to send those.
All in all, on average I think companies need 3 months after approved labor to be ready to Fedex that 140 petition. No malicious intent on the part of employer, its just how things are. 45 days is going to make things difficult for many companies and many of the lazy, slow, procrastinating law firms.

Every bank is here to make money. I do transfer money through SBI and ICICI , didn't find any difference as far as rates are concerned. Services at ICICI are much better than Sarkari SBI. At least you can do many things with ICICI by sitting here rather than SBI.
Switching is not a good option, What you gonna do if other bank also doing with you the same thing. I would suggest complain it with RBI whatever you are not satisfied with.

EB2 I/C is in for a really really long wait.
Honestly, these consultants don't even have an H1B worthy job: its not a permanent job offer. They don't get paid fulltime. Let alone their eligibility for a GC ....what a scam!
We need to let uscis know and audit all current and past approved cases from these consultants)
FYI ...With support from a few people .. we are in the process of filing a Direct injunction for stoppage and immediate audit of interfiled/approved cases. But more support would be appreciated.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$GOOD MORNING GC$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Deadline = April 30th, 2011
Goal = 5000 votes on survey (see I-485 filing w/o current PD thread) and momentum to continue with this campaign. The survey is a platform to gather and push for launching action items. Based on response by 04/30/2011 - IV will decide whether to even proceed with initiative or not.
Actions - 1) Vote on survey.
2)Email ivcoordinator@gmail.com with PD, ph#,email & subject "I485 filing impacted,
3)Print/Circulate Fliers and spread FB, wiki link (see "support thread")
Dear IV Members,
If you believe that your success depends on your immigration process - whether it's the ability to file I-485 earlier or to get green-card and citizenship sooner or whether it's the ability of your spouse to work - then you have to believe that your success somehow depends on the success of Immigration voice and these 170 volunteers in DC next week.
As you may know, we are just one more week away from hosting Advocacy day in Washington DC where about 170 members of Immigration Voice will conduct nearly 250 meetings with offices of Senators and Congressmen. Such events cost money. If we have enough contributions, we can spend as per our budget of nearly $ 50,000. If not, we will have to cut back on the event spending and reduce the magnitude and size of the event.
If you are not coming to DC next week, please do your part and contribute funds to Immigration Voice. It not only finances the event properly, it instills pride and confidence in the members who will be there in DC that there are thousands of willing supporters behind them who could not be there physically but are 100% with them in their determination and resolve.

Understood. Now you want all H1 L1 B1 everything to be stopped. So lets vote only for EAD/AP/GC till you get your GC. After that US should stop GC also, right? (but ofcourse, naturalization still should remain open for a few more years).
If one person can work for your job at $8/hr, and you are charging $100/hr, market would adjust itself to $8/hr (for a moment forget about who does this $8/hr, it can be a high-school kid, or anybody). The only reason why somebody blames that $8/hr kid for loosing his job is because he "thinks" he is "superior" to that kid. There are many situations where companies decide to retain "fresh college grads" and layoff "senior experienced" persons, to save money.
Don't take me wrong, but I also think the L1 is mis-used a bit. But I personally think the mis-usage comes from other factors (like H1 unavailability, employer prefer L1 because employee cannot change to another employer in L1, other H1 restrictions) etc..
.....I wish this bill passes with full effect

Hi Guru's
A strange thing happened today....Need your help ...
I have an H1 transfer pending with Nebraska Service Centre....
My earlier H1 which was approved 1 year ago has been re-opened today...This is the status I see on USCIS web-site
Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER
Current Status: Case reopened or reconsidered based on USCIS determination, and the case is now pending.
We reopened this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER on September 28, 2007, and are now reviewing our earlier decision. We also mailed you a notice describing the next steps in the process. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Our review should be completed within 30 days. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.
I don't get this...I have the following questions
1> This H1 petition was approved 1 year ago...I have the I-797 Notice with me. Then why did they re-open this case after 1 year of approval ??
2> My I-131, I-485, I-765 applications has been accepted and chqs encashed. What happens to them now ?
3> What about my H1-transfer which is pending ??
I am going nuts....anyone in this situation

check the latest release on July 17.pdf. I am not sure how many applications are rejected on july 2nd ...If one did not recieve rejected package it means, they are going to honor the application as long as initial evidence is right.

USCIS Announces Revised Processing Procedures for Adjustment of Status Applications (41KB PDF)
July 17, 2007 - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that, beginning immediately, it will accept employment-based applications to adjust status (Form I-485) filed by aliens whose priority dates are current under the July Visa Bulletin, No. 107. USCIS will accept applications filed not later than August 17, 2007.
I agree with you. USCIS withdrew VB#108 (revised Visa bulletin which came out on July,2nd).So, They should accept our applications, if they were properly filed but the update didnt clearly mention that they accept applications which were filed in the first week of July. So, there is still some ambiguity exists.

Try from american company. One of my friend had problems with claims when bought insurance from K.V Rao.
Any insurance is fine if you are not claiming. The real trouble comes, when you need to use the insurance & claim money back.
No insurance covers pre-existing condition

After speaking to a few people who did an MBA and a couple of MBA consultants I think that most important parts of an MBA are the in-class experiance of working with other folks in the class and the opportunity to build a network. I seriously doubt if online MBAs can provide them.
