I went to Baltimore USCIS FP center.They ask ID at the counter only if you are getting your fingers printed, and this counter is actually tokens issuing counter inside, there was no security or anything at the entrance.I have seen several families with kids.I guess it is going to be the same in other locations.
My wife and I are scheduled to go for fingerprinting this month. We have a year old son and obviously we are planning to take him with us as well. Do I need to take any form of ID / birth certificate of my son (obviously he is not to be fingerprinted) but not sure what the rules are with respect to carrying infants for the interview. Anyone who has fingerprinted in a similar situation?

The company will have to sponsor the H1 in full. Not enough to just give you an employment verification letter.
Also as per the rules, you cannot pay for the H1. Only the company can pay for it.

There is a memo which says that you can get 1 year H1 till u get the license.

I'm looking for a web designer that could possibly help me redsign my website. I need him/her to be pretty familiar with Flash and animation.
Website will contain:
-photo gallery (photos provided)
-video clips (videos provided)
-community member profiles
-membership "join" form
-graphic effects
-guest book
-music/sound effects
-a lot of animation and graphic motion
The site will be formatted a little differently from normal sites, so be ready for a long explanation when you contact me. It's going to be a personal website and I have a fairly low budget. I need it to be $800 US or less. I'm fairly loose as far as a deadline is concerned. If you're interested, email me at stnkycheezman@hotmail.com. Am assuming that in this case clarify has to get his part time employer to file for a NEW h1, which ofcourse means he is under the h1b quota, which was exhausted on the first day they started accepting it for 2008.
So I guess clarify is better off with his EAD.

hello all,
i filed my application on july 2nd to nebraska service center. Now i am filing my wife' application using the new updated 485 form. i sent my application to nebraska service center. i live in florida and in the new form i have noticed that they are asking people from florida to send 485 application to texas service center.
i am confused as to where i should send my application. i am attaching a sheet which asks mailroom to attach my wife's new application to already filed my application ( sent on 2nd july with no recepit ).. i am just confused that if i send my application to texas will it get attached to my primary already filed application... any one in same situation or any insite please help.

I filed for my EAD last year along with 485 and the lawyer sent the application to Nebraska Service Center, however, the receipt notice I received was from Texas Service Center.
Now, for Q11 - Have you ever applied for EAD from USCIS? Which USCIS office, which office should I mention? NSC or TSC?

On EAD you can work multiple jobs, accept payment or stocks or compensation from any employer.
By the way, in H1B you can accept "profit on passive investment".
Alright so it is better then i dont take any equity at all untill i get greencard?

This legislation seeks to reduce current immigration backlogs by classifying lawful permanent resident (LPR) spouses and children as "immediate relatives." Currently, spouses and children of LPRs must obtain visas through the Family Second Preference category. This can lead to a waiting period of several years. Among other things, this bill would allow unused and unclaimed visas from 1992-2007 to be placed back in the pool of current available visas for families, and would establish a �roll over� system for unused and unclaimed visas in the future. This bill has been referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, where it awaits further review.
I will continue to work with my colleagues in the Senate to craft effective solutions to address our nation�s immigration problems. I will keep your thoughts in mind should S.1085, or any similar legislation, come before me in the full Senate.

Min things to be considered to be safe. Check with your attorney we all post only what we might see which might not be 100% certain always ...
I had AOS though company A and holding my H1 which is expire in July 2010.
I was interviewed by financial client B for contract to hire postion. I already joining them on 31st March as consultant and at after 2 months end need to convert in fulltime. This job attracts me because of never thinked pay scale and benifits in my life. Company B has record that no one leave them in last 9 years. Or never they lay off anyone.
I told client B that I can work on EAD but HR Manager wants me to transfer my H1 in company B.
JOB work is not same, My AOS based on server administartor and in financial client I am goign to do desktop management.
Is this something right approch to transfer h1b? Will company A can create any problem for my GC process? I already passed 180 days for pending AOS. Another thing is my wife has already used her EAD from h1 and working as fulltime. she is my derivative applicant.

during the period from July 2009 to November 2009, your extension was pending and not rejected/denied by USCIS and also your sponsoring employer did not revoke the application. so, logically it should be authorized employment. you can work with the receipt itself, if nothing is decided about the application.
but, better talk to ur lawyer. since there is gray area for ignorant IO @ POE to misinterpret, better have your lawyer available on call during the time of your entry to explain to IO.

You can use the approved I-140 from company A to get a 3 year H-1 for company B assuming your priority date is not current. However, because you have not been working for company A, you are technically not in valid non-immigrant H status and though Company B's H-1 petition should be approved for three years, the extension may not be granted. This means that at some point you would have to leave, get a new H visa and then return.
